Think of it as your floating hotel. You’ll unpack once, yet explore many cities—each morning begins in a new location, ready to be discovered by bike.
After a European-American breakfast spread, our friendly English-speaking guides walk you through the day’s route, adapting distance and terrain to match your comfort level. With high-quality bike gear provided, including e-bikes for extra ease, you’ll pack a picnic lunch and hit the path—riding through peaceful countryside, lively urban streets, and storybook riverside villages.
Each evening, you return to your boutique barge, gently cruising toward your next destination. While you were out riding, fresh ingredients were sourced from local markets and ports along the way—so dinner is served onboard nightly, showcasing regional flavors and freshly made dishes that reflect the places you’ve pedaled through.
Our experienced guides stay with you on the bike routes to handle maintenance, offer encouragement, and make sure everyone feels supported—whether you're a seasoned cyclist or simply trying something new.

In 2011, I met Lenny, the owner of The Iris, a charming barge based in Amsterdam, when taking a group of Museum goers around Holland. That moment sparked more than just a friendship; it was the beginning of my love affair with the Netherlands, small group travel, and discovering Europe on a small and intimate scale.
I returned in 2018, this time for a cycling adventure with good friends aboard The Iris, and something clicked. The landscapes, the people, the pace, this wasn’t just a vacation; it was an experience that changed my life.
Today, I’m proud to be able to help people book unforgettable bike-and-barge tours across Europe.
As a passionate cyclist and triathlete, I believe that joy is best experienced in motion.
