Start your morning with the gentle sounds of the river and a freshly prepared breakfast. As the barge is already moored in a picturesque town or village, you can step outside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before the day’s ride begins.

Cycle at Your Own Pace

After breakfast, set off on the day’s cycling route. There is usually the option to choose between a longer route with a slight faster pace, or the ‘leisure’ group. Follow well-marked paths through charming villages, historic cities, vineyards, forests, and riverside landscapes. Ride at your own pace, we stop for bathrooms, coffee, sightseeing, or photos, and enjoy the freedom of exploring Europe by bike.

Prefer a relaxing day? You’re always welcome to stay on board and enjoy the scenery as the Iris sails to the next destination.

Return to Your Floating Home

In the afternoon, you’ll arrive back at the Iris, where a warm welcome awaits. Relax on the sun deck with a drink, unwind in the lounge, or simply watch life along the river pass by.

Delicious Evenings

Each evening, our chef prepares a freshly made dinner using quality ingredients. Share stories from the day’s adventures with fellow travelers while enjoying a delicious meal in the cozy dining room.

After dinner the guides brief you on the next day. And almost all nights there is the option for a town walk with a guide. Or you can choose to just relax on the boat or its surroundings.

Sleep Comfortably

At the end of the day, retire to your comfortable cabin for a restful night’s sleep. There’s no packing and unpacking every day—your cabin travels with you, making bike and barge holidays one of the most relaxing ways to discover Europe.
